Felipe Amunategui, PhD, Associate Program Director, Child Psychiatry - UH Cleveland Medical Center

Dr. Felipe Amunátegui specializes in the assessment and treatment of adolescents with complex psychiatric disorders.  He also specializes in treating these disorders with behavior therapy. As the Child Psychiatry Fellowship Associate Director he provides training and supervision on behavior therapy to fellows
 
Dr. Amunátegui actively conducts research at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and publishes his findings extensively.   He consults with school districts, nonprofit organizations and treatment centers in Northeast Ohio. He has served in county addiction services and mental health boards. He has lectured in Latin America and Europe on the treatment of adolescent psychiatric disorders. Dr. Amunátegui received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from John Carroll University. He received a Masters in Clinical and Community Psychology from Cleveland State University, and he obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from Kent State University. Dr. Amunategui completed both his internship and his fellowship at Bellefaire JCB in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
