Warren Selman, MD, Chairman, Department of Neurological Surgery - UH Cleveland Medical Center

Warren Selman, MD is the chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at University Hospitals (UH) Cleveland Medical Center, neurosurgeon-in-chief and director of the Neurological Institute at UH.  He is an expert in cerebrovascular surgery, including aneurysms, strokes, brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries and other related conditions.  He is co-inventor of Surgical Theater, a simulator program for brain surgery based on aviation computer simulator programs. 
 
Dr. Selman earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, did his internship and neurosurgical residency at UH Cleveland Medical Center, and fellowships at the Mayo Clinic and Case Western Reserve.  He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.  
He has held leadership roles in the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Academy of Neurological Surgeons, and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He has served as Co-Chair of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Neurosurgery, and Chairman of the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.
