University Hospitals announces plan to expand Otis Moss Jr. Health Center

CLEVELAND – University Hospitals (UH) plans to expand and enhance UH Otis Moss Jr. Health Center, in partnership with Olivet Institutional Baptist Church and Olivet Community Development Corporation. The announcement will be made by Thomas F. Zenty lll, CEO, UH; Pastor Emeritus Reverend Dr. Otis Moss Jr.; and Reverend Dr. Jawanza Colvin on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 9:30 a.m. at Olivet Institutional Baptist Church (8712 Quincy Avenue).

This urban health initiative, under the leadership of Dr. Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew, ‎Edgar B. Jackson Jr., MD, Chair for Clinical Excellence and Diversity at UH Cleveland Medical Center, will dramatically transform UH Otis Moss Jr. Health Center by offering expanded clinical, educational and research activities.

“More than twenty years ago University Hospitals and Olivet Institutional Baptist Church joined forces to bring quality, outpatient care to Cleveland’s Fairfax neighborhood and surrounding communities in a revolutionary model that has been replicated all over the country,” says Mr. Zenty. “I am proud to join Reverend Dr. Otis Moss Jr., Reverend Dr. Jawanza Colvin and the congregation as together we announce intent to dramatically enhance our community investment and health care needs for families.”
