Updated University Hospitals Visitor Policy

As Governor DeWine begins the responsible restarting of Ohio’s businesses and “opening up” the state more, we are adjusting our visitation policies as well. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, the visitor policy around end-of-life care has been modified. Every person (patients, employees and visitors) coming to any UH facility must wear a mask and will be screened as they enter the facility. Visitors who cannot wear a mask at all times or refuse to wear a mask will not be allowed to enter the facility.
 
As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, we will continue to adapt to the changing situation.

Case-by-case basis for birth and special needs only. Approval will require CMO or CNO approval. Any visitor using the exception will be screened as follows:

Together, we can help ensure Ohio doesn’t see a rapid increase in COVID-19 illnesses in the coming weeks as we start to reduce restrictions of the stay-at-home order.
