University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Partners with Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett as Browns Ambassador to UH

“Since the moment I was drafted by the Browns, the Cleveland community embraced me and took me in as one of their own. This partnership allows me to help serve a community that has meant so much to me and I’m excited to work with University Hospitals in a meaningful way that leaves the Northeast Ohio community better for all, ” said Garrett.

Now in his fifth season with the Cleveland Browns, Garrett is arguably the best Defensive End in the NFL, earning first-team All-Pro honors in 2020 and two Pro Bowl selections (2018; starter in 2020) as well as being named to the 2020 PFWA All-NFL and 2017 PFWA All-Rookie teams. He is the only Browns player in team history with multiple double-digit sack seasons, reaching the mark in each of the past three seasons (13.5 in 2018, 10 in 2019, 12 in 2020), and is the only player to lead the franchise in sacks for four consecutive seasons, accomplishing the feat in each of his years with the team. Last year, he finished second in the AFC with 12 sacks, despite missing two games.

As importantly, Garrett is also revered on and off the field as a compassionate teammate who leads by example. Garrett has been a defensive captain, and last season was named the Browns’ Walter Payton Man of the Year, which recognizes elite players for their excellence during games and in support of local and national community initiatives.
