University Hospitals Parma Medical Center Opens Comprehensive Breast Health Center

PARMA, Ohio - University Hospitals Parma Medical Center is now home to a new Breast Health Center, designed to enhance access to comprehensive breast health services from screening to reconstructive surgery in one convenient location close to home.

The center offers patients a seamless continuum of care, from breast cancer screening, diagnosis, advanced treatment, reconstructive surgery, and personalized support from a dedicated breast health navigator. The breast health navigator serves as a liaison between patients and their care team able to identify resources, provide education, and guidance through every part of a patient’s healthcare journey.

“This new Breast Health Center reflects our deep commitment to delivering accessible, patient-centered care,” said James Hill, MD, MBA, Chief Operating Officer, UH Parma Medical Center. “We are thrilled to continue to bring advanced healthcare services to UH Parma with the goal of improving the well-being of patients who place their trust in us.”

Along with investment from UH, the center received support through state funding. These combined resources allow UH Parma to enhance its capabilities with advanced diagnostic technologies and expanded clinical expertise. The Breast Health Center is designed with a focus on proactive health and prevention, making screenings and early detection more accessible so more patients can receive timely care. Through these efforts, UH Parma aims to improve health outcomes and reduce late-stage breast cancer diagnoses across the community.

Sean Brennan (Parma). “I’ve seen the exceptional work University Hospitals provides to the Parma community and all of northeast Ohio. That’s why I strongly championed securing funding for the new Breast Health Center at UH Parma.”

University Hospitals Breast Health Centers provide innovative and personal care aimed at preventing, diagnosing, and treating benign and malignant breast disease. The UH Parma Breast Center serves as a milestone in advancing healthcare for the area, offering residents peace of mind and quality care closer to where they live.
