CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio – University Hospitals is bringing transformative breast care to UH TriPoint Medical Center with a new breast center marking the latest investment in expanded services for the region. The UH TriPoint Breast Center elevates care by unifying breast health services in one convenient location to enhance the patient experience.

The new center includes more advanced mammography units with high-level diagnostic and biopsy capabilities, as well as dedicated breast ultrasound technology. Patients will have access to tomosynthesis, known as 3D mammography, as well as upright stereotactic biopsy guidance. In 2026 services will further grow with the availability of contrast-enhanced mammography, advanced imaging that uses contrast to detect breast cancer. With these services now available at UH TriPoint, patients benefit from shorter travel times, faster follow-up, and streamlined care, while strengthening regional breast health resources.

In addition to UH investment, state funding supported this milestone in breast health capabilities. These strategic investments help enable earlier detection, and accuracy. Bringing services together in one location expands access while raising the level of care available to the community.

“Strengthening access to comprehensive care across our region is essential to supporting the health and well-being of every family we serve,” said Robyn Strosaker, MD, President and Chief Operating Officer, UH Lake Health Medical Centers. “When patients can receive high-quality, coordinated services close to home, it makes a meaningful difference in their lives. We’re proud to offer these services at UH TriPoint.”

UH TriPoint is positioned to care for higher acuity patients. University Hospitals is investing $39 million to build a new regional cancer hub at UH TriPoint Medical Center. This new hub, expected to open in fall 2026, will offer expanded services for specialized and complex treatments that were previously only available downtown, allowing cancer patients to access these advanced services closer to home.

“We are pleased to offer the most advanced breast imaging services to UH Tripoint Medical Center,” said Holly Marshall, MD, Division Chief of Breast Imaging at University Hospitals. “This investment reflects our commitment to meeting patients where they are and ensuring they can access specialized, high-quality care close to home, now and for years to come.”

Additional upgrades include a new ultrasound examination table and specialized lighting, designed to support optimal patient positioning and improved visualization during breast ultrasound procedures.

University Hospitals Breast Health Centers provide innovative and personal care aimed at preventing, diagnosing, and treating benign and malignant breast disease. The center offers patients a seamless continuum of care, from breast cancer screening, diagnosis, advanced treatment, reconstructive surgery, and personalized support from a dedicated breast health care coordinator who serves as liaison between patients and their care team able to identify resources, provide education, and guidance through every part of a patient’s healthcare journey.
