American Nurses Association Announces Khaliah Fisher-Grace, PhD, RN, as Vice President

SILVER SPRING, MD and CLEVELAND, Ohio – The American Nurses Association (ANA) Board of Directors has appointed Khaliah Fisher-Grace, PhD, RN, CPHQ, PCCN-K, to complete the term of the ANA Vice President, beginning on January 1, 2027 and ending on December 31, 2027.
Fisher-Grace currently serves as System Director of Policy, Quality Improvement & Operations at University Hospitals Health System and as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. Throughout her career, she has championed healthcare quality, patient safety, nursing leadership, policy innovation, and professional development.
“Dr. Fisher-Grace has been a dedicated leader within ANA and the nursing profession, and I am excited to see her bring her experience and perspective to the role of Vice President,” said Jennifer Mensik Kennedy, PhD, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, President of the American Nurses Association. “Her commitment to advancing nurses and strengthening the profession will serve ANA and our members well.”

An active leader within ANA and the nursing profession, Fisher-Grace has served as an ANA Director-at-Large, Chair of the ANA Committee on Honorary Awards, and a member of both the ANA Committee on Appointments and ANA Racial Reckoning Think Tank. She previously served as President of the Greater Cleveland Nurses Association and has held numerous leadership roles at the local, state, and national levels.
As Vice President, Fisher-Grace will serve on the ANA Board of Directors and Executive Committee to advance the American Nurses Enterprise vision of a healthy world through The Power of Nurses®.
